I have been passionate about hairdressing from as young an age as I can remember and started my career at 13 in a local City Centre salon working every hour they could offer me. To reward my enthusiasm I was offered a full time position and completed a formal apprenticeship.
My first salon opened in 1989 and I have proudly never looked back! In 2003 together with my husband and following a very well thought out design we renovated our current premises having out grown the much loved previous one. This enabled me to indulge in my long standing passion and incorporate La Bella Beauty.
Hair and beauty remain my obsession and I love the products we work with and I believe all of our products, treatments and services are simply the best.
My continuing professed aim is to help everyone to look fantastic and give careful tailored advice to every client. I love working with my team and can honestly say I totally enjoy being around them!
When not working at the salon Marina is relaxing with her beautiful family in her ‘glamourvan’ or slaving away at a hot stove spoiling the rest of the team and clients with her simply delicious gluten free cakes!
Marina’s top tip - “Follow a tailored professional hair & skincare regime and look your best ever” I love all the ranges ask me anything as I use it all!
Hello my name is Lisa.
I have always had an interest in Hairdressing, even at a young age. After leaving School, I was lucky enough to be offered an apprenticeship at one of the top hair salons in my area.
After completing my apprenticeship, I went on to achieve Diplomas in Creative Colouring, Highlighting, Perming and an advance cutting course at Alan International Academy.
I have also worked with Steiner in Cheltenham, which opened an opportunity for me to work on Cruise Ships in America which lead me to furthering my time abroad. Hairdressing has always been a passion and has lead me to many variable experiences in my life and career.
I love working with The Redken products and I wouldn’t use anything else on my hair. I love being part of The Fringe Benefits Team. My Favourite Redken product has to be the once a week Hair cleansing shampoo. It will l leave your hair feeling the best ever!!
You never stop learning, or get bored as the Hair and Beauty Industry changes all the time. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being a wife and mother to my grownup daughters, and Nanny to Millie, leaving me enough time to socialise with friends.
Look forward to spending time with you!
Hair designing really appealed to me before my career began. I studied art and design at school, and thoroughly enjoyed being creative so hairdressing was a natural calling.
I completely love working at Fringe Benefits & Labella Beauty. It’s amazing meeting lots of new people and no two working experiences are the same!
I started my career by gaining my hairdressing NVQ level 2 qualification and went on to work in a local salon gaining lots of experience. I adore my job and the thought of making others look and feel amazing is just fantastic.
I’m currently qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing, which will enabled me to excel in my skills as a hair designer.
During my spare time I like to indulge in “Girly” time which involves lots of pampering, shopping and socialising. I love spending time with my daughter, son and partner. I am a true animal lover and have lots of pets to look after and am sure I will soon introduce more to the “family”.
Lyndsays top tip – the bigger the hair the better! Try Redken’s Quick Tease 15 for loads of root lift. Apply to dry hair and see the result “ I love it as it has a good hold too without feeling sticky”
Hi I'm Abbey,
I started my apprenticeship with Fringe Benefits in August 2015, and I have currently achieved my Nvq level 2 and 3 qualification in ladies hairdressing and Gents Barbering level 2. I am very excited to further my skills and knowledge within the hair industry.
I have a very artistic and creative nature, which helped me to achieve A Levels in Drama, Art and Media. I have always had a strong interest and passion for hair designing whilst growing up. I would constantly be changing my own hair cut and colour, as well as styling my friends and family’s hair.
The most enjoyable experience for myself, whilst being a hair designer, is seeing the transformation of my client’s hair. I often take before and after pictures of my work, so my clients can really notice the improvement from their visit, whether this be technical colour work, conditioning treatments or a redesign cut.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family, and socialising with friends. Which is why I love working within the Fringe Benefits environment, as I get to meet new people every day. I often visit the cinema with my boyfriend, I also have a hobby of creating Henna Tattoos, which I practice on myself and friends, as often as I can.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I look forward to meeting you!
