BAFTA Hair Styles 2013
It’s that ritzy-glitzy time of year again. Yes, Awards Season is in full swing and last night, London’s Royal Opera House played host to the infamous awards ceremony, the BAFTA’s, whereby the acting elite were recognised for their incredible performances for the last year.
At our hairdressers in Gloucester, we were keen to take a look at the A-Listers BAFTA hair styles, and here we’ve picked our choice of the most fabulous and stand-out BAFTA Hairstyles for 2013.
Unique Up-Do’s
Marion Cotillard, nominated for Best Leading Actress at the BAFTA’s, wore a beautiful retro-inspired bun. Worn slightly to the side, with a slight wave to her fringe, this style looked classic and effortless.
Helen McCrory, well-known for her role in James Bond’s latest adventure, Skyfall also showed off a classic up-do, with a slight sweeping fringe. Side partings are incredibly popular this season as demonstrated by both Marion and Helen at the BAFTA’s.
Down and Sleek BAFTA Hair Styles
Sarah Jessica Parker may have gone against the grain by opting for an Elie Saab jumpsuit instead of a flowing Chanel gown, but her sleek and straight BAFTA hairstyle, was bang on-trend. We wouldn’t expect anything less from fashionista SJP and as you can see, she is still a firm favourite of the ombre hair colour trend.
Jennifer Lawrence looked stunning in her floor length Dior gown and her slicked back hair added to her uber glamorous BAFTA style. To some it may have look liked Jennifer got caught in the horrendous rain, but her sleek wet-look hair style is incredibly stylish and on trend for 2013.
One-of-a-Kind Hair Styles
Without question, Paloma Faith stood out with the most unique BAFTA hair style of the night! An up-do with oompf, this unique do had it all: height, volume, structure. It’s interesting to see that Paloma has attempted a retro-inspired up-do with some obvious modern day vibes. This will definitely go down in BAFTA hair history!
Helen Mirren also stood apart from the crowd with her pastel pink hair colour. Pastel hair colours are going to be everywhere in Spring 2013 and Helen is certainly showing off her penchant for popular hair trends for 2013. Keep up the good work!
The BAFTA Hair Elite
It will come as no surprise that Ann Hathaway stole the night with not only her BAFTA award for Best Supporting Actress, but with her gorgeous pixie cut hair style. This hair cut has become almost as famous as Ann and she wears the hair style with such grace and effortlessness.
Amy Adams wore her stunning strawberry blonde hair in a striking ballerina bun up-style and in turn looked the epitome of glamour. The timeless up-do showed off Amy’s gorgeous facial features as well as leaving her at the top of the BAFTA hair style stakes.
